Monetisation of content is not going away anytime soon, that's just the reality of it. So we need to find a happy middle ground between the authors and the readers. Some acceptable forms of monetisation or promotion that the authors can live with and that the readers con tolerate. This is an initial discussion thread to see if folks can come to some type of agreement in terms of what both sides find acceptable. THIS IS AN EMOTIVE TOPIC if people are being tools then the ban hammer will be used. If your going to be either "ban all patreon" or "we can do whatever we want with our stories" then don't even bother, crawl back into your cave and let the adults talk. If you can contribute to the discussion constructively we want to hear from you.. and make no mistake we want to hear from BOTH sides.. Authors, NOW is your time to speak up, if new rules come in.. actually WHEN not IF. When the new rules come in and you didn't participate in the discussion when you had the chance, don't expect anyone to take your complaints too seriously. So have at it.... Users, what are some of the methods you can tolerate and what are the methods you hate. Author's give your input and share any issues you have too. And the one rule for this thread... Be Nice! \- Kosh
